Then the student entrepreneur status offers you the opportunity to combine your studies and business with the necessary flexibility. This special status is officially available at most higher education institutions in Ghent.

Wat is het statuut?
Het statuut student-ondernemer is een bijzonder statuut dat officieel beschikbaar is binnen de Gentse hogeronderwijsinstellingen Arteveldehogeschool, HOGENT en Universiteit Gent. Het geeft je meer studieflexibiliteit zodat je je onderneming kan combineren met je studies. De exacte voordelen verschillen per hogeschool of universiteit. Kom meer te weten over de exacte voorwaarden en voordelen van jouw onderwijsinstelling op ons Startium-platform onder 'boards'.
Opgelet: verwar het statuut student-ondernemer niet met het fiscaal statuut student-zelfstandige. Dit laatste statuut is vastgelegd in de wet. Het bepaalt hoeveel sociale bijdragen je betaalt en of je fiscaal ten laste kan blijven van je ouders. Ontdek hier meer over het statuut student-zelfstandige.
Hoe vraag je het statuut aan?
Je vraagt het statuut aan binnen je eigen onderwijsinstelling. Daarnaast boek je bij een Gentrepreneur-coach een statuutgesprek in via Startium. Tijdens dit gesprek maken we kennis, lichten we ons aanbod toe en geven we uitleg over het statuut student-ondernemer. Je dient het statuut jaarlijks opnieuw aan te vragen bij de start van het academiejaar.

Ben je werkstudent en studeer je aan KU Leuven, Luca of Odisee? Dan loopt dit niet via Gentrepreneur en contacteer je best zelf jouw onderwijsinstelling.
